I have a boyfriend I have been dating long distance for four years. He knows I have anxiety and depression but I want to talk more to him verbally. I can text him how I feel whether that is sad happy or anger but when we are on FaceTime it becomes hard for me to explain my feelings to him.

I even have a hard time carrying a conversation with him he usually starts it but I can never add on to the conversation and it tends to get awkward sometimes. I recently been trying to show him that I care about him but texting him goofing and how was his day everyday, but a lot of times he takes hours or days to respond I’m getting the feeling he does not want to talk anymore which is understandable.

This is my first boyfriend and it is like I’m attached and I think about him constantly everyday every minute and it is even tiring for me sometimes.

Hello! It is certainly not an easy situation. Managing a long distance relationship can be complicated, you don't always find something to talk about.

Communication is a fundamental aspect of every relationship, especially when it is long distance. So if you have any doubts about his feelings for you or for your relationship, you should talk about it with him.

After four years keeping a long distance relationship becomes more and more difficult, so if you can, visit each other often and try to make a plan to be closer physically.

Remember you can connect with a listener at any time. I hope things can get better, take care!
