So as a backstory me and my gf(both women) have been together almost a year. Her ex girlfriend who was her first experiment to see if she like girls still likes her and makes it obvious. Me and my gf are in a secret relationship so she can't tell her to back off.

So my gf is very cautious about taking time off. She doesn't want to stress our job (we work in the same place) she refuses requesting time off and doesn't like dropping shifts. Well her ex recently asked her to have a sleepover in a Friday night. We work in a restaurant so Friday nights are extremely busy and most of the time she doesn't want to be near anyone or talk to people, very valid and I respect it. She agreed to this sleepover and tried getting the day off, tried dropping the shift, neither of those worked out but she's still going to the sleepover after work. I know she doesn't like her ex at all, but it feels like I'm a last priority to her. I've tried getting her to take days off for dates, or just mental health days because shes very stressed out and she refuses. I'm head over heels for her, but sometimes it feels like I don't mean as much to her

Hello @Fae1621, I'm sorry to hear about your predicament. Feeling like you are a last priority to someone you are in a relationship is tough and not fun at all. Have you talked to her about this yet? From experience, it is really beneficial to talk to them about things you are concerned about, not accuse them, but just talk about it. A lot of times the other person doesn't realize how they are making you feel until you bring it up, because we as people are terrible at telling if someone is upset, no matter how hard they say they know. So I suggest if you haven't already talked to her about it, that you do so. I hope things get better and work out for you!

Sincerely, Jet01
