My boyfriend and I have been living together for 4 years now. He has a very narcissistic personality and so when we get into arguments he ALWAYS makes the comment that "this is his house, not mine". We moved into this house not long after we started dating (the house belonged to his dad who passed away unexpectedly a few months into our relationship. His dad didn't have a last will and testament nor was he married so the property technically does belong to my boyfriend but he's not gone thru the legal process of getting it put in his name yet) over the last 4 years we have lived here I have paid the property taxes twice, and was the only one paying all of the bills for almost 2 years plus I had the whole house renovated (it was very outdated) and this past year we were splitting the bills 50/50. I never say anything about this being my house, but every single time we argue that is his go-to comeback and I'm so tired of it. I need something to say in response to him making that comment that'll make him stop saying that. Someone please help!!

@Haydani19 Hello! I hope you are doing well. I am sorry that you and your boyfriend are having a lot of arguments. I can imagine how frustrated you must get when he replies with that response, but I think instead of trying to find a response to reply with it could be more useful to try and find the root of why you guys are arguing. I think it's important that you guys sit down and communicate calmly about what's really going on. Have you guys considered couples' therapy? Communication is very important, but it's important that it's done calmly. We are always here for you and I am wishing the best for you! 💗
