It's complicated I need help where to start
My ex and I took a break about a month ago. We had to take a break because he's in a program for church and it's taking most of his time. He could drive, but I can't yet. We've been together for over a year. During that break my friend saw him on bumble. He wanted to see if I was the one. I still don't understand why he did that. We "broke up", but we still wanted to try again latter when the program ended or when we the time is right. The program seems like a long time, but it's a few months. Lately I felt really lost, sad, and alone. I've been trying to distract myself and try not to think about him, but it's hard. My friends help me a little bit. I feel like I've been overthinking a lot as well mostly about if I'm ever gonna get back with him. I wish that time could go by faster, but also I don't want time to pass because I don't want the holidays to happen.
@babyonionboi12 my partner and I went through something very similar. We broke up and he went on bumble to see "if what we had was it" and to focus on his kids and it was right before the holidays too. It was really hard and I was very open about me being not okay with bumble and after a few months and lots of talking and working through it we are still together going on two years.
Patience and communication is key - be open about how you feel and set boundaries if bumble is something you're not okay with him doing.
I think I'll just have to wait till his program is over. I really don't want to let go of him just yet. What's mostly the hardest part when you were on a break?

you say he is on a program for church.
That might be so, but is sounds like that prevents to two of you to meet. Why?

He lives a hour away and he's the only one that could drive.
