Hello.. I joined the app today and only just familiarising myself with it, the year of 2023 was off to a great start until today... My partner came home from work and had been sacked due to his own silly mistake, he's feeling terrible and saying he wants to end his life, I'm also angry sad upset all range of emotions because I have a young daughter under 2 and not sure how we will cope as I only work part time and that won't cover bills, I want to be mad at him but I want to be supportive as I'm aware he's quite aware of his silly mistake, I've sat all day ringing round and applying for him jobs and managed to get him a couple of interviews for next week in the exact same role but I feel like he keeps putting our family in jeopardy and expecting me to pick up the pieces but I also feel bad for feeling that way as I see so much about mens mental health but I sometimes worry about his more than my own and don't really now how to feel anymore, I don't have friends to talk to as I'm either home with my daughter, at work or out as a family, I have good family support but find it hard to speak with them about things like this

@LNH3 So sorry to hear that. Glad you reached out to us here at 7cup. I have a few pieces of advice I might be able to offer.

You should talk to your other family about how you feel. It helps to get things off your chest (here too) and can make you feel much better.

The other piece of advice I have is to keep being there for your husband. Give him hugs and tell him that you’ll be there for him whenever he needs a shoulder to cry on. Can you also talk to him about how how you feel. Communication is very important.

Sending lots of positivity and hearts your way. You’ll both get through this. ❤️
