Not to sure what to do.
So I want to ask out this really attractive girl im crushing on at work , but being in two different departments that very really overlap I never really get any change to chat it up with her, have had only a few opportunities like 3 and each time nerves get the best of me and I leave it at a good morning or a hey. My friends advice was to just go in to her department walk up to her and ask for her number but I feel like that isent the best idea. Honastly not sure who else to ask so I guess I will shoot my shot here.

Maybe you could just go in her departement, just like walking to her desk a bit slowly, say hello - how is work going for you - and when she say this or that - you can say; Well I proberly came here to ask you to go out with me sometime or ask for her number explaining that you would very much like if the 2 of you could do something nice together.
So I did ask a guy out for the first time in my life. I did have his number so I guess that was one less hurdle.
But I was really nervous, and a couple of initial texts were just hey and small talks. But then one day I just decided to go for it and we had some great conversations afterwards. It takes some courage but It’s better to put it out there than marinate in the what-ifs. Hope this helps 😊

I think you should just ask her out on a date. Just straight up say hey would you like to go on a date with me? If she says yes then get her number and go from there. But since you don’t think that’s the best idea, I’m curious what you would tell your friend if he was in your shoes.
