Scared of going to dream school and leaving GF
I recently toured my top college and it was everything I dreamed it would be, and I can completely see myself going there. The only downside is that my GF plans on going to school in our state, and my top choice is out of state and about 5 hours away. We both got accepted into her top choice and I could go there, but I can’t imagine loving it as much as I love my dream college.
i love my girlfriend and can only imagine living a life with her, and though i know we could make long distance work, the idea of being so far away and potentially losing her has caused me unmeasurable amounts of anxiety and I am having a difficult time deciding whether I prioritize my goals or my relationship.
@madelslay Hi! I hope you are doing well. I am so happy to hear that you fell in love with your top choice school! I know moving away to school is difficult, but you have to do what's best for you. Long distance is very doable and there are always breaks to see each other too! If you go to a school that you aren't happy at just to be with her, there's the possibility that you will begin to resent the situation because you did it just to be with her. I hope she is supportive of you going to your top school as well. I know it's a tough time, but go with your heart and everything will be okay! I am wishing you lots of luck!💖
