Should I break up?

You see, I have a boyfriend who says he's serious about me (were both 22), it's been around 7 months that we're in a relationship. He said I had to wait for around 2 years so then he would tell his parents.

Before, he was certain that his parents would agree but now whenever I try to talk about future, he tries to change the subject as if he is not sure of he would "convince" his parents at all. Btw, we both study medicine and are the top in the class, so there is no reason that his parents would dislike me... considering how I try to act with kindness and manner towards people who are older than me...

Do you guys think I should break up?

Have you met his friends? Are his parents the only ones he doesn’t want you to meet? Does it feel like he’s hiding you? Because if its only his parents it could be they wouldn’t approve of him dating while he’s in college, or a number of other reason that your guess would be better than mine on. But at the end of the day, whatever the reason is he should be upfront about it so you can decide if that’s something you can and want to deal with. If it is his parents problem, he should be up front about that. Same if its his own reservations. Regardless the hardest thing for me to accept would be how he just brushes you off about something that affects you as well. That avoidance is something that will usually keep coming up in relationships. As for the break up, I cant really answer that without knowing what the rest of the relationship is like. Are you in love? Are you invested? Is this just one of many problems or the only hang up? Only you know and only you can make the right choice for you. But, in my experience if you’re asking, you already know what you want to do.
