Staying commited
Ive been with my gf for a while(im a male) and recently i felt like i fell out of love . I love being with her and around her and do not want to break up bc shes my best friend and i love her im jusg not infatuated by her anymore. Everyone keeps telling me that it is normal and thag is how relashinships progress and we r now in the comfortable stage and that its not a bad thing that essentially what a long term relashinship is is dating ur best friend who ur also sexually attracted to. Im just having a hard time shaking the feeling and feeling guilty for it. I talked to her abt it already and she agrees with what everyones saying. I dont want to break up. Someone say something or give me tips that will help me understand this feeling bc i dont want to lose her
Hello, I'm not sure if this will be helpful for you. But you should soon learn that love and relationships are a choice. It's not always going to be an uphill journey with effortless fireworks all the time. It's your choice whether or not to wake up everyday and love her the way she deserves. And vice versa. Maybe if you feel like the relationship isn't as exciting anymore, you could talk to your partner and make an effort to spice things up and get that spark back. What are things you two could do differently that would serve each other better? Because the spark's not gonna come back out of thin air. Also another tip I have is working on yourselves. When you work on yourselves as individuals, you have more to bring to the table, more to talk and ask and learn about. So maybe pick up a hobby or a new skill?
