what should i do?
so i just started college and i am in a friend group of 2 guys and 4 girls. obviously people will have feelings for each other and find people attractive. i thought one of the guys was cute and he thought i was too. i met with him in his dorm because he wanted to teach me to play the ukulele. i thought it went really well and i felt super comfortable. i tried to give him signals but he didn't read them. later i found out from his friend that he "wasn't vibing." what should i do? i don't want to make things awkward between everyone and i want to keep the friendship at least if he wants to. should i talk to him in person?
@katiebeach21 Communicating more openly tends to be better in my opinion, and at least you'll know where you stand. Hearing it from his friend could be just a rumor; you don't know for sure. You said you were giving him "signals" but maybe he's shy and you may need to be more direct. Personally I usually ask "can we cuddle?" or something or "would you want to hold hands"? I know that's nerve-wracking, but somebody has to take the plunge haha.
