Advice for new friend?

I'm not very good at holding onto friendships. Most of my friends have drifted away or we're not as close as we used to be becuase we don't see each other often. I have two close friends and all three of our families are friends which I think helps me keep them around. I have a new friend that I really like but we don't live close so we don't see each other very often. I don't want to lose her like I've lost other friends but I don't know how to keep a healthy relationship. I want her to be able to trust me and for me to trust her, but I'm just horrible at interpersonal relationships. I'm bad at holding conversations, I'm not very good at texting, and I'm really not the greatest listener. I'm just scared that we'll grow apart too soon and I'll mess things up. Does anyone have advice on how to keep healthy friendships?

Hi, what I've learned in life, is people come and go and we have no control over that. My advise for you would be to remain yourself at all times and dont change who you are to fit in with a friendship. You can not make people like you if they have decided they dont, overtime you can change there initial impression of you and this is a fundamental part of learning to trust someone. Trust doesn't cone easy, its usually earned over time and actions so dont be in a rush to trust or expect someone to trust you. Just be yourself, you will find people who appreciate you for being you, and try not to be so hard on yourself in the process, we are all human and we are all unique and thats what make the world an interesting place. Good luck
