Am I the bad guy here?
Recently I've made a new group of friends and I was having a lot of fun and was really happy. But now there's suddenly this girl that my friend likes. She's flat out rejected him several times, but keeps his hopes up by purposely flirting with him, and she's even told me that she won't date him but thinks its funny to flirt.
Recently this girl has been starting drama with me. She's been saying things to purposely upset me, calling me things she knows bothers me before turning around and claiming she "didn't know" even though I've explained to her several times now that those things bug me, and she tells people that I'm not being fair to her.
My friend defends her every single time she does this. He acts like she can do no wrong and that everything I say to her is mean and claims that I'm treating her unfairly by avoiding her and ignoring her all the time. I don't want to stop being friends with him, but I really don't think its easy to be friends with him right now when he's being like this.
Everyone except for one of my friends thinks this girl is nice and that I'm not being fair, but one agrees with me that she's doing this stuff on purpose and is the only friend that seems to be on my side. This situation really sucks because I really like this group of friends and I don't want to be left out or hated by them, but this girl is ruining everything and I don't know what to do.
It's stressing me out and for the first time in a while my depression is back because I don't understand what I did wrong to make this girl dislike me in the first place besides asking her why she was flirting with him if she said she wasn't interested in dating him. Am I the one whose in the wrong? Should I pretend to like her when I don't even though I think that's two faced? :/

That all seem to be super frustrating. I'm sorry about what said girl does with you. Seems like your frind can't see that she might do something wrong. Also seems like she is acting in a nice manner so everyone sees that she is nice and you is the bad one. I'm glad to know that you have one friend in your side. That could give you some strength and assure you, you did nothing wrong to her. I'm so sorry to hear about your depression. You don't have to pretend to be liking someone who you don't like actually. Instead, is there a possibility to have a clear conversation with your friend telling him you don't feel comfortable with her around as she keeps telling you things that bother you? If that seems to be hard, what about going out with your friends when she is not there?
@QuothRavenNevermore I don't think you are in the wrong in the least. It sounds like this girl has shown you her true colours, but she shows a completely different side to everyone else - not cool. I think it's okay to express how you feel. I'm glad you have at least one friend who shares the same view as you. If it is disrupting the circle of friends, you can let at least the friend that likes her know how you feel and leave it as that - at least you did your part. It's a tough situation but you could try not to interact with that girl as much as possible, but still be a part of the group. There is also the possibility of confronting the girl when you are with a friend and asking her why she is starting up drama between you, but only do what you feel comfortable with. I don't think there is a need to act like you like her if you don't. You are allowed to be yourself and be honest about how you feel - you are not in the wrong for doing so. Hope this helps!
