An old friend that suddenly blaming me for her life

I have a friend, an old friend to be exact. But not really a good friend, it is just that she is my classmate, so I considered her as a friend. But that was back in 2015, 5 years ago and we were classmate only for 2 and half years because she moved to a different highschool (Im 20 this year btw) after that we met again only for 1 month at pre university in 2018 before she moved to a different university for diploma. All time we met, we were good to each other and not even once I ever bullied her. However, this year, she told a mutual friend that she want me to apologize to her. She is depressed because of me and my other friends. She said she will never ever forgive us and if something happened to her, it is going to be our fault. The same thing happened to her course mate in university before it happened to me. She kept blaming others for her life. Kept spaming her whatsapp story with her anger towards us and our 'wrongdoings'. I was so clueless when a mutual friend told me this(she asked her to deliver it to me btw). I barely know her and meet her. She is being so narcissistic and always play victim. Now im worries thinking about the blame that she put on me if something were to happen to her

@Youarenotmyfriend

Hello there !

I am Always.. A listener here !

I read through the whole message / post. You seem to going through a very tough time. *hugs* I am sorry. I understand, she has no right to blame you for her depression. No one can be the "cause". No one has the right to blame others for anything, unless there is any evidence..? Please don't blame yourself. ❤ I don't think you would have done anything wrong too ! Depression is difficult. Makes people do wrong things. If you wish to, you can support her. Or just don't let her guilt-trip you. It's her depression, she must get support, you can only give support. She can't blame you. No one is responsible for anyone else's depression. So, don't blame yourself !! Let me tell you, "Not Your Fault" . If you ever need to talk to me, you are welcome to PM me...
