There's absolutely nothing wrong with opposite genders being just friends! Society has manipulated the idea to seem like a bad one, but, truthfully, there's nothing wrong with a girl having a guy best friend or a guy having a girl best friend, and no romance between the two.

It took me a loooooong time to get to use to having boys around because I think mainly because I didn't really know how to talk to boys and how to be appropriate to them, I agree with the post above tbh but it is totally fine to hang with the opposite gender in my opinion. I guess we all grow up at a young age being friends with the same gender because we had the same interests but as over time we grow and then yeh
