Ex best friend
When I was in 8th grade I got really close to this girl who was in my dance class. we started hanging out a lot and I thought of her as my best friend. we did all of the cheesy stuff together, friendship bracelets, sleepovers, seeing movies together, becoming close with the families. but then after a while, she started talking a lot about her problems and at the time I didn't see it as a issue because I wanted to help her feel better because I cared. she was having a lot of trouble with this friend who turned toxic to her. And I always listened whenever she talked, which was like 85% of what we did. I didn't ever get to talk and I didn't really think that was a problem. A couple months later, we start to drift part and I come to realize that she replaced me with that toxic friend. What I'm trying to say is, I really don't want to be that friend who only just talks. I became the friend therapist. I always listened to my friends, giving advice or just listening, putting them and their happiness first always. Because I didn't want to hurt them. I'm trying to ignore my mental health getting worse, so I close myself up so I don't bother anyone. I want them to be happy.

Strawberries, I have been there. In fact, I seem to find those same kind of friends far too often. So, I ask myself, what is it in me, that attracts or accepts these kind of friends. Honestly, I would rather not have them. I am working on myself, trying to be my own best friend. Hopefully, the results will be more positive, supportive, nurturing, and loving relationships.Take good care of you.
