Friendship Breakup
It's been 2 months since I "broke up" with my best friend. We were so close but it's a very long story that goes downhill very quickly. So much stuff was said and I can't forget her. Honestly, I think I was in love with her. I thought she was so perfect for me but when stuff got bad, she changed. She said awful things about me and gave me the silent treatment that has yet to end. She graduated last year but I saw her again for the first time in 2 months and I wanted to cry. I still don't understand why she reacted the way she did. Now I'm just left with all of the memories and they're driving me crazy.

I'm sorry that you're going through this, I can understand how you are feeling. It definitely doesn't feel good knowing that you lost a friendship with someone that you deeply cared about and maybe loved. It seems to me that you two didn't have closure and the relationship ended badly. Because it bothers you, I think it might be good to communicate with her on how you are feeling about the situation and her. I don't think it could hurt the situation and would only be beneficial. Hope everything turns out well!
@RainyDays99
This must be so painful. I've been having problem with one of my best friends,too. So, I can relate. I know it's difficult to forget someone who you thought was the perfect fit for you. Have you tried asking her directly what went wrong? Why did she suddenly change? I really hope you get over her and find your happiness again! Take care!
@EnchantingMe one of the last things she said to me was that she was going to block me on all social media and I've only seen her once since then... I don't really want to talk to her again. She hurt me too much and now I just want to move on.
@RainyDays99
If she has hurt you a lot, it's reasonable that you don't want to talk to her again. It might feel very difficult right now, but you can move on. You will be happy again!
@RainyDays99
Hi, so it sounds like not only are you grieving the loss of a good friend but it also sounds like there were romantic feelings to sort out as well. Its hard to say more given your short explaination. Be kind to yourself and give yourself grace to heal. Some days will be better than others. I am sorry she was not kind to you in the end, maybe she too was hurting. This does not excuse her behavior but rather just adds an element of understanding.
@ali1112 She was hurting. I know that I did hurt her unintentionally but I wish she could've forgiven me for it. It still hurts when I think about all the things we used to do together. I really do think I might've have had romantic feelings for her and that doesn't help either. Despite everything, I miss her a lot
@RainyDays99 Hey! I undertsand that the memories are killing you right now but you should just let it go. People change and you would change eventually also. It may seem hard now but putting effort to letting it go would cause you to be much happier in the long run.
