How do I support her?

I'm going to try my best to explain....

So, today I found out that my best friend/crush has a new boyfriend. Now, you need to know that I asked her out a few weeks ago, and I was perfectly happy with answer (it was "no", clearly). Anyway, I want to be there and support her but I'm not sure how. I mean, she's had several boyfriends in the past year and I am a little disappointed, but I still want to support her. Plus, when I talked to her, she kept saying that she was sorry because she feels like she's hurting me. Thoughts on how I can support her and not come off like a jerk? Thanks.

I'm very sure that what I just said made no sense.

Hi

How can you come off like a Jerk? You are trying your best to handle the fact that you want to be a good friend and that you have a crush her as well , this is not easy for you. You are not a robot you are working from your own emotions which are complex , i hear how much this relationship means a lot to you and you are willing to make a lot of efforts in order to maintain it.

I believe that when we are able to look together at the complexity of things then we can contain them better, and find a new way to process or deal with the complexity.

i hope your friendship will continue to strive ....
