How to make new friendships ??
Recently I’ve lost mostly all of my friends for one reason or another. Genuinely I’ve felt very lonely and isolated since I am in a very small town. I’ve been trying apps but unfortunately it is very hard for me to keep a conversation going through text but I’m way to nervous to video call. Any advice on how to make new friends?
Maybe you can try finding a common ground about which you both can talk about. For example a gaming friend, a web series friend, .... This might make your conversation going, and you will get to know each other along the way.
Ditto! My town has a culture that I have nothing in common with. Establishing connections here seems impossible, and it is leaving me feeling remote from others. I am very sorry to hear that you are dealing with the same issue. People seem to recommend volunteering, but that often isn't an option during the pandemic, and my past experiences doing that kind of work (on top of my normal workload) tends to put me with people well outside my age group who I don't have much in common with. I am hoping this app will help me connect with others, but reaching out and establishing that often is challenging. I am interested to see if anyone can offer tips on this as well!
