My best friend is neglecting me
I am a Freelance writer writing at online services.I have a close friend who I have known for a number of years. She lives abroad but we used to keep in regular contact, talking most days online. She has an abusive past and at age 28 met her first boyfriend. After 1 date they started spending all their time together. It got to the point where I wasn't hearing from he much and when I reached out to say I missed her, she would say things like I just don't have much to talk about. Before she met him she was sending a lot of time alone. She would say she was busier now she had him and wouldn't be around as much. I gave her the benefit of the doubt as this was her first relationship and understandable she would have taken up in the excitement of it all. Recently she avoid me?What can I do for her?

@virginia12 to me it sounds like a lot of red flags for another abusive relationship are there- she's being isolated and becoming dependant on someone else unusually quickly. Sadly, people with histories of abuse are more often abused again. If that is the case here, it's iportant that you don't give up on her and keep trying to contact her. Remember that if this truly is an abusive situation, her boyfriend may be trying to convince her any difference in your bahaviour means you don't like her anymore, so just keep trying. It's also important that you don't try to get her to leave the relationship, since that might make her feel as though she can't talk to you.
however, if this isn't abusive at all you should probably just understand that she may not have time for the same level of contactas she did before. In that case, it still makes sense to reach out to her occaisonally, but try and cultivate other friendships so you don't feel lonely if she doesn't respond.
