Not Being Able to Maintain Friendships/Relationships
As much as I hate being lonely, it has become a safe haven for me.
I'm not the kind of person to step outside of my bubble or approach people first, I let them come to me. This has kept me in isolation for quite an amount of time, but there have been a few instances where I have been approached and a light-hearted friendship has sparked. I quickly become...attached...I guess you can say and eventually over the course of a few weeks, I ghost. It's not like I don't like this person or that they make me upset, it's just that I get bored?? If said person were to ask to hang out, I'd be so happy and enjoy my day thoroughly, but I'd never actually go out of my way to ask first. Making the effort to talk to someone first and start up conversations almost feels like a chore and that makes me really uncomfortable. It makes me feel like I'm in the friendship for the wrong reasons, and because of this, I just kind of fade out.
Does this make me a bad person? Will I ever be able to put my all into a relationship for the long-run? Does anyone else feel like this, did you overcome it?
@flightsnotfeelings. You probably haven't connected to the right person it takes time to find the balance the best thing i can suggest is try to go to meet up groups that is what i am trying to do but so far no meeting's have been set up yet good luck.
