hi! so I have this best friend that I have knowned for probably around 2-3 years now. And he has always been supportive and always there for me. And I have been his friend therapist, always been caring and there whenever he needs me. But recently, he got a therapist so he started to get more happy and not necessary needed help (but I have always been asking if he needed anything and he still has been talking about any issues). And I have been having a hard time with family issues and mental health, that I have been talking to him more. And I feel like am I making it one sided?? Like I have been talking to him about how he is feeling. And I just don't always want to be complaining. But we definitely talk more than just feelings. sorry if this is confusing. I just don't know if I just open up to him rn, if it is one sided

@smolstrawberries

Hey there. There's nothing wrong with expressing how you feel to your best friend. If he's truly your friend, by telling him your issues, I'm sure as a friend he should understand and do something about it.

@smolstrawberries

Hey hey smolstrawberries. Your username is super cute! ^_^

I would think about how you would listen to him talk about his feelings and how nice you would be to yourself if you were him.

Also remember you can trust him to set boundaries with you if he's feeling drained or needs time alone! <3 He's obviously a good friend. Try trusting and counting on him, but also trust and count on yourself too! You know what to do best.
