Update: tested positive, how to cope with loneliness

Hi,

I ended up testing positive this week for covid. My symptoms are mild, tbh I am more worried about loneliness and depression than actually being physically sick. I feel frustrated that when I post on social media people will "like" it but I struggle to have a support system of people who actually call or zoom to check on me. How do I more directly ask for this? Maybe I should reach out to other friends who tested positive to see if they want a call/zoom?

Sorry about your current infection. I think reaching out to other friends that are currently COVID positive and under quarantine, is a great idea. You can even reach out to those that are not and just straight out tell them, “I’m sick and bored, let’s chat.” You can also use this time to read, if you enjoy that, or watch movies.

Hope you feel better soon.

@greenAvocado14 Thank you; that's helpful. I will try that. I do still have school lectures to watch online so I don't really have full time off, but I'm trying to take it easy.
