I'm sorry you feel this way.

It's easier said then done, but when you meet the right person, you'll be able to open up, go at your own pace and let them in and they'll know how to be there for what you need.

You deserve all the butterflies.

All the excitement.

The fun.

The intimacy.

You deserve love.

It's scary.

But natural, when it's not rushed and with someone special 💕💜

@emotionalHuman4187Hi Katie, your feelings are very real and common for people with avoidant attachment. Here are some tips to help with the dread: 1. Take small steps. Let yourself share little things about you before going deep. 2. Practice calm breathing when you feel dread. Slow breaths can help ease the chest tightness. 3. Remind yourself that feeling nervous is normal and it doesn’t mean danger. 4. Talk to trusted friends or write down your feelings to understand them better. 5. Be patient with yourself. Healing takes time. 6. If you can, consider speaking to a counselor who can help with attachment issues. You deserve to be loved and to enjoy the little things in relationships. Would you like help with some calming exercises or ways to start opening up gently?
