Asking for Advice about men and long distance relationships
Hi! I’ll go by Tundra.
I’m in a long distance relationship and need some advice and clarity from the male perspective
I love my partner more than anything. I’m prepared to move for him. It’s a discussion we had. But he suddenly got very quiet about it. For an idea I’ve done excel sheets, scheduling everything. This weekend I was supposed to see him but we canceled due to timing issues so I’m going for the 30th-4th
He also easily gets jealous if I mention any man except my brother or dad. He’s been hurt by woman before and I get that. His ex-wife cheated on him their entire marriage for example. But I’ve done nothing but give him my heart and soul. I’ll add he has type 1 bipolar disorder and I’ve never judged him for it. Instead worked with it. I love him for every part of him broke or perfect.
So the situation is confusing me greatly
Could there be another woman?
@sensibleAvocado6891 One of the large problems we have for moving in a woman we love, if burned badly before, is that the woman's interest dies soon after moving in. HUGE PROBLEM, HAPPENS ALL THE TIME! I would rather have a woman who still tries to do her best infrequently than one who doesn't care once moved in, and her chase is complete. If you honestly look him in the eye and say this, step 1 is to talk about a future in which the things that you do now would be the same things you do every day. Like smiling at him and lighting up when you see him. Like respect and support and sex if you do any of those things. Does she want to love me or just want to catch me, is our question, and it's almost always just catch, no more love then. Most of those things die a few months after move in. Next thing you know you're bored and texting other guys from his home. That's his nightmare. He's already lived it. A man's superpower is his ability to walk away. The other factor could be that his bipolar might be uglier at times than he wants you to see. He might struggle badly most of the time, and save his best for you, even though he still has ups and downs. He might know that you would only have to be startled or worse by him one time to move out and trash his reputation to everyone on your way out. Maybe he is already giving you his best, and he would rather enjoy you in his life sometimes than never. If you have really proven and believe that you would love him the same way and be the same person if you moved in, that you wouldn't be privately texting other guys, and can really handle his moods even if they are 5 times as bad as you have seen, if you talk about those things 3 or 4 times and he still goes silent, then cheating could really be it. I think this is winnable if you can show that you're not part of the great majority of women, men talk about these things to each other all the time, that you are somebody different. You sound like a really good person and that you really love him so very best luck to you.
