Breakup 4 months out what I’ve learned
I’m not gonna lie I’ve been feeling a little better and even have an upcoming date soon with someone new. We don’t have nearly as much in common as me and my ex did but we are more similar values wise and stuff. She’s a nice girl going through something as well. Yeah I still miss my ex even after she told me I made her uncomfortable in a nasty text where I thought everything was fine between us and essentially cut me out of her life and I had an amazing time with her and I wish her the best. I’ve learned nobody really cares about you. Nobody on this app or in life in general. It’s really everyone for themselves. And that’s what I’ve learned through the breakup is people put themselves before you and that’s why it never worked out for me. Girl I loved you but wtf couldn’t even call me? So yeah I am still hurt but I’ve learned that she taught me to be confident and have fun. I’ve done that while learning that I am still the king, the goat, and someone that a lot people look up to me so I must be strong for them. I may leave the app soon, but I wanted to thank those who helped me along the way and helped me to realize I was severely mistreated. I’ve never been in a darker place in my life after she broke up and after she sent that nasty text and this app helped me a lot.
@Imissit5567 Thank you for sharing what is on your heart and mind. I do wish you healing as you move forward. There are genuine and kind souls in this world, and I hope that time gives you the realization that you deserve to find someone who does not match the same behaviors that caused you to distrust people generally. I am evidence that two people can enjoy joy in a long-term relationship, having been happily married for nearly 14 years. I have had my share of heartache, and I was not matched with someone who shared my values earlier in life. Now I have a much happier existence and know that there are people in this world who are worthy of trust and respect. These are really the things that are the foundation of a truly meaningful relationship. Of course, communication is also required, so finding a way to share your truth with your partner in a way that you are both able to share openly is an amazing thing to find and cherish as your love journey continues. Take care, and I hope you find your perfect match.
Hi I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. It’s been a long journey and my friend recently decided to tell me he saw my ex on a dating app. Now it’s been 4 months since she said she wasn’t ready to date anyone and needed to focus on her work. But this kinda hurts. I wish he wouldn’t have told me but what do I do
That’s rough to hear, I am sure. It is also further evidence that this person was not honest and open with you. You deserve someone who is trustworthy. Hang in there. I hope you start feeling a little better soon.
Idk if you saw the whole story or if my friend was telling the truth but it just hurts badly and my new relationship has been moving slow and I don’t share the same feelings for her
