My boyfriend of over a year broke up with me saying “it’s not you, it’s me” because we had a few problems that he quit working through and now I’m sad because I have him all my firsts

@faithfulPark3301 that's what they all say, and it's really not your fault. In fact, even in that year you spent together, he probably thought of leaving you much before he actually did it, it is s gradual process. I don't know how long it is going to take to heal, because I'm going through the same and yet to recover. Just hold on... Survive.
