Breakup
Hey im a 20years old girl and also new here i appreciate everyone trying to help eachother! I recently broke up with my boyfriend over a miscommunication. I told him i will leave because the communication style that he showed in the argument hurt me. He apologised and let me go with 0 fight. After 2 hours i was thinking about it if i overreacted or if i should’ve tried to talk it out and not directly give up and thats when my best friend called me and showed me he made an account on hinge(datingapp).
Next day he started following other girls on his *** (connections from hinge probably).
I feel so hurt that i was so easy to replace. I’ve been crying and missing him and thinking about our moments together since that day i dont know what to do.
Does anyone have sn advice, i need a third perspective on the matter please. Thankyou so much for reading this❤️

Instinctively, the way he was acting didn't sit right with you.
You left for a reason.
And it was him that didn't fight, didn't put in any effort, to get you back.
I think he was ready to leave, just waiting for an excuse.
And jumping on dating sites so quick, shows how little respect he has for you or for your feelings
Yes, it hurts now, but you will heal and when you do, I hope you meet someone deserving of you 💛🤗

From what it seems, you’re trying to justify the breakup because of the misunderstanding. However, that was only the trigger for a problem that had already been developing for some time.
Sometimes, when people argue under a heavy emotional load, they speak from their wounds rather than from awareness. Because of this, there can be moments where a harmful impulse takes over. That doesn’t necessarily mean the person truly sees you that way. It also doesn’t justify his inappropriate reaction, but it can help you understand things more clearly and avoid reacting impulsively to the situation.
Now, regarding the dating app account he created, it suggests that he may not be someone looking for a truly meaningful connection, but rather something more temporary. This doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with you or your worth as a person, but rather with his own needs and emotional voids. Don’t think there’s something wrong with you or that you’re not enough he likely reacted this way to quickly fill a void instead of choosing to face the situation or work things out with you.
That said, if you genuinely feel there’s room for an honest resolution, you could try reaching out to him. Just make sure to put everything on the table what each of you wants and expects from the relationship, your boundaries, and the things that hurt or bother each of you.
The goal is to achieve a deeper level of understanding and emotional intimacy.
That being said, his reaction trying to replace one thing with another doesn’t leave much room to believe he’s looking for real commitment. Still, he may have acted out of pain.
The real question is: what do you truly want to do? What choice will bring you the most peace?
Cry as much as you need to, and let that pain out the kind that keeps you tied to the memory of what could have been and distracts you from your present.
Once you’ve eased that weight, make your decision from a place of awareness, not from impulse or emotion.
Im extremely thankful for your advice you’re absolutely right.

It’s a pleasure, I hope you’re able to find the peace you’re looking for :)
Hey, I’m really sorry you’re going through this—it sounds genuinely painful.
From what you shared, it doesn’t seem like you were “easy to replace.” People cope with breakups differently, and some distract themselves quickly so they don’t have to sit with the emotions. That says more about him than your value.
You didn’t overreact—you spoke up about something that hurt you, which is actually healthy. It just feels confusing now because everything happened so fast.
It’s okay to miss him and still know that the way he handled things didn’t meet your needs. Both feelings can exist at the same time.
Be gentle with yourself right now—this kind of hurt takes a little time to settle. You’re not alone in feeling this way ❤️
