Breakup hardship.
So me and my other half broke up after 8.5 years. I am to blame and I know that.
Back story:
We started dating and I honestly didn’t see myself staying with her forever. Through the time I lied and cheated and got caught and she continued taking me back. We would fight and make up. It was a revolving cycle… even though I treated her bad and she stayed I fell in love with her harder then I ever thought I could love. But in my life (with my parents) how I acted seemed normal because that’s all I ever knew. I only knew be stone faced and bottle up all emotions. Well I reached out to my ex not long ago and my other half found out. She ended things… I’m losing my mind and am starting to do everything to be a better person. I am taking steps everyday to do atleast 1 thing to learn how to love the right way. Any suggestions?

Hi there, it’s good you’re accepting responsibility without making excuses to her. Being cheated on is painful but showing genuine remorse goes a long way.
You’re lucky she ever took you back and sounds like you should have split and not wasted almost a decade of her time
Feel free to justify but sounds like you took advantage of someone
