Cultural barrier

hello there, there’s just something I wanna share with a relationship. I’m I’m in a long distance relationship with someone from Indonesia. First of all I really love her and her family And I even liked their culture. However, there’s one big thing that I don’t like. I don’t like the boundaries that we have to have that you don’t have in western cultures. It makes me so angry it’s like I don’t want to sound like a person to judge others but I take logic first over everything and I know many cultures are not like that. Indonesia is a Muslim country and besides religion Indonesia is a country where you represent your whole community. I’m the person that will never live like that Maybe I’m spoiled with my American freedom but I just feel like there’s more I need to be getting in this relationship. I’m currently in nursing school and I hear about how these girls treat their boyfriends and it makes me so mad because I should be getting that too. I have social anxiety that’s really bad and I can’t meet people in person even if I could. I’m not in the right place to meet people. I just wish I was able to do more with my girlfriend.. We’ve been together for almost 2 years and when I first was getting with her I thought it was something that I can handle but in the long run I just realised that I didn’t get what I expected out of this. It’s not that I don’t love her I do but I don’t like the way we have to do things

First thing keep the regional out of topic. You love the person not their religion. But also keep in mind what you hear in surrounding is not always true. You start adapting what you see and what you hear. Only things can change is you. Don't listen what others say.
