Dealing with mental health while husband deals with his
My husband is in a mental hospital for at least a week. I'm not getting much information but I've been told that it could be a week or more.
I'm Overwhelmed, exhausted, angry, depressed, triggered, and I don't really love him anymore.... Yeah. Like I do love him but it's not the same if that makes sense? It's like the love just drastically dwindled. I was told that I need to get lockboxes and lock up anything that could be used as a weapon, the social worker said that I should just get rid of cooking knives and stuff which I understand but I now have to live with either everything locked up, or just get rid of everything including my own possessions, and be afraid to trigger him.
When he calls, he says he can't wait to get out because he can just go back to normal life. Nothing will be normal after what's happened, I don't think he truly understands that. He just says that everything is fine and nothing else, our calls are literally just him and me talking about how he feels and that it's all fine for him. He's always just "fine" yet he's been in psychosis for three weeks before being forced into hospitalization. He's just going to get out and still be my third child not my partner. I can't even tell him that the kids are with my friend so that I can clean or shower without the fear of triggering him so when he asks how the kids are I just tell him that they're fine.
That friend of mine is what started this whole thing, he's obsessed with her and started going off the rails. But he is only getting one session for individual therapy during his stay according to the social worker, that session will be for a safety plan which he gets at the end of his stay.
I'm drained, not sleeping because I have to just wait for calls from doctors, social workers, and CPS (what he did endangered our children). All while being a stay at home mom without a job and being unable to drive due to a disability. I got eight calls last night between the hours of 3pm and 2am.
How do I deal with this? I have a friend helping with the kids but she just gets upset when I talk about the situation and how I feel. My mother in law has been helping with bringing food but she can't do much and is shut down in the emotional department right now. My mom has only been willing to drive me to see him and give him clothes.
I have to call his work tomorrow and tell them that he might not be back for a while, which they may fire him for. There's just so many things that are difficult in this situation.
