Divorce & Infedelity

I found out my husband has been cheating on me. Multiple times it seems. We have 2 children. He’s not really apologetic and is ok with getting a divorce. That part frustrates me. He has been my person for about 23 years and I am having trouble thinking of how I will do this life without him. But he seems to be perfectly content with it. As I grieve, I want to reach out to him but for what? He doesn’t care anyway, I hate that I need him. I hate that I love him very much still. I don’t know how to move on without him.

🥺

You cannot just switch off your feelings, no matter how hard you try.

You were loyal to the marriage.

I'm so sorry you are going through this and he has put you in this horrible predicament 🩷

I am going through something very similar right now. I know how much it hurts and it feels like your whole world just came crashing down and was destroyed. You didn't deserve this.  It is so frustrating when you feel broken and betrayed, and don't even get the reaction you hope for from them.  I just want you to know you are not alone and to remember to breathe and take things one day at a time.  I keep telling myself "if things are as bad as they can be, you can be sure there'll be a brighter tomorrow".  Easier said than done...

I understand you. Similar story with me. She moved on quickly but I'm struggling. Every morning its like I'm waking up from my past graveyard. I also don't know how life will be with out her but they made their choice. As an adult pros and cons are theirs alone you dont have to blame it on you for anything. You did your part for long years. You are trying to save the relationship but one hand can not hold for such a long period. Let it go if it hurts. Like how I'm finding peace and loving myself I wish you try the same. Life is not just bad relationship it is about You feeling peace first and then follows your values. If they dont align with your values its ok we cant force it on them. They want to explore outside boundaries no matter what. Be brave in your decisions. Note down what brings you peace with or without the person. If you feel slightest doubt dont try too hard. They will know your worth later.
