Entire relationship story. I miss her.
Okay so I'm using AI to summarise all of the events which have happened till now. I'm way too tired and mentally drained to type. I miss her. I know this is not the best idea due to well yeah but I've anonymized everything. All the events are mixed and randomized and all that. I might shortly delete it too. I feel like a loser but yeah this is what has happened till now. Like literally everything.
Not usigg real names because obviously
I'm A
A and B were best friends before they entered into a relationship that lasted around ten months. They cared deeply for each other and genuinely loved one another. However, over time, the relationship developed recurring problems that neither of them was able to resolve effectively.
In the beginning of the relationship, A struggled to consistently put effort into meeting B's emotional needs. B repeatedly communicated that she felt her love languages were not being fulfilled and that she was the one carrying the relationship. One recurring example was a diary A had promised to write for her, filled with his thoughts and love. Months passed, and despite repeated reminders from B, the diary remained unfinished. B expressed that she had "begged" for it and that it symbolized a larger pattern of promises that were made but not consistently fulfilled.
At the same time, A gradually became emotionally dependent on B. She became his primary—and eventually almost only—emotional outlet. A made her the center of his world, and B later admitted that this made her feel suffocated. She felt responsible for A distancing himself from his friends and carrying a burden she could not realistically carry alone. Eventually, B became emotionally withdrawn from the relationship. She later told A that she had been emotionally distant for some time and that although she had repeatedly communicated her concerns, she eventually stopped because she felt unheard.
About one and a half months before the breakup, A began feeling unloved and like he was no longer a priority. He noticed a lack of emotional intimacy and expressed these feelings to B. She acknowledged them and said she would try her best to make him feel more prioritized.
The following day, they attended a school ceremony. B informed A beforehand that she would walk to the auditorium with her best friend because her best friend would otherwise be alone, and asked A to move ahead. A interpreted this as rejection and walked with another friend instead. At the venue, seating arrangements led to another misunderstanding. B suggested A sit with another friend, which A interpreted as B not wanting him near her. Throughout the event, A increasingly felt isolated and spent time sitting alone. When everyone later moved to a classroom, B and her best friend attempted to include him, but A remained withdrawn, upset, and largely unresponsive. Eventually, B stopped trying to engage because she felt her efforts were not being reciprocated.
After returning to class, A broke down crying. He wanted comfort from B. Instead, B took her lunch and went to sit with her best friend. A interpreted this as emotional abandonment. When B later returned and asked what was wrong, explaining that teachers had been asking her if something had happened between them, A ended the relationship.
During the breakup, A said several deeply hurtful things, including that he regretted ever being in the relationship and that if he could go back, he would never have dated her. Later, A explained that what he had truly meant was that he regretted losing his best friend, not that loving her had been a mistake. However, B later told him that regardless of his intention, the words had caused lasting damage.
Two days later, while they were working together for a school event they were organizing, A asked B if she had anything she wanted to say about the breakup. B replied that before A had spoken those words, she had wanted to express how deeply hurt she was. She said those words had left a lasting impact on her and that it would take her a long time to recover. She also explained that she had not known A had been crying during the ceremony, reminded him that she had told him why she walked with her best friend, and pointed out that she and her best friend had genuinely tried to include him. A apologized sincerely, accepted responsibility, and explained that he had not meant the words literally. B responded that intention did not erase what had been said.
A then asked if they could completely start over from scratch. B declined, saying not in the near future. When A asked whether there could ever be a future chance, B replied that she could not promise anything about the future and that she did not want to enter another relationship for at least a year. However, she also said that if A genuinely changed, she would notice it "in the small things"—in the way he spoke and behaved over time. She also suggested that they remain friends because they shared the same class and friend group, adding that she could not lose him entirely.
Following the breakup, an invisible wall developed between them. They continued working together as organizers for a major school event, which required frequent communication. Their conversations became professional and often emotionally distant. On one occasion, after waking up, B answered A's phone call in a monotone, work-focused manner. Later, when A asked if she was free to join a meeting regarding the event, she interpreted his wording as passive-aggressive. A apologized immediately, clarified that he had not intended to sound that way, and she accepted the explanation. The next day, B apologized for having been cranky because she had just woken up, and A accepted her apology.
Several work-related conflicts followed. A repeatedly forgot to inform B when teachers sent updates or when he completed minor changes to event documents before notifying her. Although A's intention was often to reduce her workload because she was sick or studying, B repeatedly expressed frustration because she had previously asked him to keep her informed about every communication from the teachers. She emphasized that, as the coordinator, she needed to know everything that happened. On multiple occasions she remarked that she had to repeat the same request several times over consecutive days.
Eventually, after A again forgot to inform her that he had sent the finalized brochure to their teacher, B brought up the earlier conversation about a second chance. She remarked that A had already asked whether there could be another chance, yet he was still repeating the same mistakes. A responded that it had only been a week. B replied that if someone truly wanted to change, they could do so in a day. Although the conversation remained tense, they continued working together and eventually returned to speaking normally while focusing on the event.
Outside of work, however, their interactions remained distant. In class, B often spoke comfortably with other classmates while largely not engaging A unless necessary. A frequently interpreted this as being ignored. On one occasion, feeling overwhelmed, A left for the washroom for several minutes. Unlike previous occasions, B did not ask where he had been. She continued talking to other classmates, including another male friend whom A felt jealous of. This significantly intensified A's feelings of loneliness and fear of being replaced.
Small moments continued to affect A deeply. B removed their matching bag charm from her school bag. Later, she asked A which crochet flower looked nicer before attaching one to her bag. She also removed A from her Spotify followers. Each of these moments became emotionally significant to A, who often interpreted them as signs that she had moved on.
Meanwhile, A discovered that B was participating in another school event with three classmates, including the male friend he already felt jealous of. A had originally expected that he and B would work on that event together because a teacher had earlier suggested it. B neither informed him nor invited him to join. This left A hurt and feeling excluded, although he had no confirmation that the decision had been made intentionally by B.
Throughout the weeks after the breakup, A's emotional state fluctuated dramatically. At different times he declared that he wanted B back, that he hated her, that he regretted the relationship, that they were incompatible, and later admitted that none of those statements reflected his true feelings. Each time, he ultimately returned to the same conclusion: he loved B, missed her warmth, comfort, and companionship, and wished for another chance.
A repeatedly acknowledged his mistakes. He accepted that he had made B his only emotional outlet, had not consistently followed through on promises, had struggled to communicate before resentment built, and had often apologized without sustaining behavioral change. He recognized that his emotional dependence had contributed significantly to the relationship's deterioration.
At the same time, A also realized that some of his interpretations after the breakup were assumptions rather than facts. He could not know whether B missed him, loved him, or regretted the breakup. He recognized that she had clearly stated she needed time, could not promise a future together, and would judge any real change through consistent actions rather than words.
During this period, A's mental health deteriorated significantly. He experienced repeated anxiety attacks, crying episodes severe enough to leave his eyes swollen, intrusive thoughts, difficulty concentrating, and an inability to study effectively during important school examinations. His mother comforted him after witnessing one of his breakdowns and even offered to speak with B if A wanted her to understand both perspectives. A declined to pursue that.
So yeah I'm just way too anxious right now and reading into everything. I'm just scared that even if I change which I really want to she wouldn't give me another chance and move on. Idk. It is so weird what.
