Experiencing a narcissist for the first time Experiencing a narcissist for the first time
Hi everybody I’m new here and I’m glad I joined cause I need some advice and help I started a new relationship about two weeks ago and the first few days we’re going great, but then I went downhill the person had started to mentally abuse me making it always be my fault during an argument calling me names and just starting arguing with me for no reason at random points it was like walking on eggshells everywhere I turned it was always something I was doing wrong or saying and I always believed it was my fault to where I wasn’t eating I wasn’t drinking. I could barely get out of bed. I was crying 24 seven and then finally today I realized that I wasn’t the problem and I needed to get out but for some reason, my heart is just wanting me to stay, I need some help here to help me understand not to go back and not to give in because I’m struggling.
Don't give up! A relationship should feel safe, an ocean of peace, a place of support and compassion. If it doesn't feel right and you don't feel it could be repaired - run. You deserve better!

Tell him that if the following doesn’t stop, you’ll leave him:
”mentally abuse me making it always be my fault during an argument calling me names and just starting arguing with me for no reason at random points it was like walking on eggshells everywhere I turned it was always something I was doing wrong or saying and I always believed it was my fault to where I wasn’t eating I wasn’t drinking. I could barely get out of bed. I was crying 24 seven”
You don’t deserve to be treated like that. I’m so proud of you for realizing that none of it is really your fault. Way to go on that!
Best of luck ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ and hugs full of support for you

Hi there! First off, I'm really sorry to hear you're going through this, but I'm glad you reached out for support. It takes a lot of strength to recognize the situation for what it is and to make the decision to get out. It's completely normal to feel conflicted – our hearts can sometimes pull us back into unhealthy situations because of emotional attachment, hope, or fear of being alone.
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Trust Your Instincts: You’ve already recognized the signs of abuse and manipulation, which is a crucial first step. Trust that feeling.
Your Well-being Matters: Your mental and physical health are incredibly important. Being in a relationship where you’re constantly blamed and made to feel worthless is detrimental to your well-being.
Support System: Reach out to friends, family, or a professional therapist who can offer you support and help you process your feelings. just as you have done here at 7 cups.
Set Boundaries: It’s essential to set firm boundaries and stick to them. If you’ve decided to leave, try to avoid contact with this person to prevent them from manipulating you back into the relationship.
Self-Care: Focus on taking care of yourself. Eat well, drink plenty of water, and engage in activities that make you happy and relaxed.
Stay Strong: Remember why you decided to leave in the first place. Keep reminding yourself of the reasons and how much better you deserve to be treated.
You’re not alone in this, and it’s okay to feel conflicted. Keep reaching out for support and stay strong in your decision to prioritize your well-being.
Take care, and remember that you deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. 💛
Let it be known that if they dont work on those issues and those behaviors dont come to an end you will leave! I know its hard but trust me its better to find out this early on and just walk away than to find out years later with kids and a marriage. If you continue to see this pattern get out! You are deserving of so much better
