Frustrated

I’m very frustrated with how the relationship is going and part of it is on me i can admit. I am upset that my girlfriend is upset because i can’t help her with part of the bills or help her with her car being broken. We are renting a house with a *** landlord so most of our money has gone to trying to decrease the light bill, etc. I make a little more money than her as an officer (we both work in healthcare) and i try to save money but we’re always needing things.

I want to learn, as a 29 yr old man about to be 30 in May, how to provide for a woman because in March, we will be in a relationship for a year and i plan on wanting to marry her, but i don’t know much about doing so because I’ve been in a bad household where my mom had to do everything and my dad always came home mad at everything and it has discouraged me some as a child and as a man on how good relationships and great marriages are supposed to be and I’ve never been around good marriages other than other family members and people that aren’t my mother and father.

How can i cope and make this better?
