How should I act about this?

I have been in this relationship for 18 years, we have never had any relationship problems or fights. A few weeks ago my husband told me that he was unhappy, he couldn't see himself and he felt like he was always doing things to please me and ended up nullifying himself. He also says that this makes him feel insecure about having children. How should I act about this?
