I Lost Her….
Hello everyone,
This is all new to me, seeking help and advice from others on a app. I am need help with getting over a 8 year relationship (not marriage). In the past I have done some bad things to upset my significant other and of course we had our good times as well. We’ve gone on vacations, family events, spent time with each others etc. But then there was time where I had mood swings and gave her the cold shoulder and didn’t show respect when she needed it at all times.
At the beginning of this year 2023 she decided to leave me, but we stood talking through this whole year. She gave me 1 choice and that was to start fresh and become friends. That’s something we never had, we rushed into the relationship without starting off as friends. I wasn’t too happy with what she wanted because I felt like what was the point if we already have 8 years together. So as months gone by we continue to speak and of course I’ve cried many many times begging her to come back and work things out with me.
I took it upon myself and changed my act and prayed to God to change me into a better man. Which I do feel like he did changed me to become a man instead of a child in the relationship. I knew what I had to do and told her my plans I had and how we can work things out and what I can offer.
August came, she admitted she was speaking casually with someone as friends at first. I became devastated, hurt and depressed as days, weeks and months passed by. Fast forwarding to today, she’s been playing with my heart telling me one day yes she will come back and work things out, yes she still loves me, but then the next day she changes her mood and answers. When I tell her are you still speaking to him and seeing him she stays quiet and doesn’t say much. After I repeatedly ask her the same questions she hangs up the phone and blocks my number.
I try calling her many times with a private number but she has that blocked as well. I understand that’s too much but I’m so hurt and depressed I don’t know what to do anymore. I really do not want to walk away, I don’t want that to be an option. She admits that she’s confused but still loves me, but is stuck in a love triangle.
Theres days when she tells me she loves me and comes over for 1 day to sleep over but then the next day when she leaves for work everything changes. Our 8 years together we lived with each others. I believe she’s trapped in a delusional mindset right now, and using the other guy as an distraction from me.
Please help, I’ve been depressed and hurt crying out my heart to her this whole year and I truly am in love with her.
@JUSTLOPEZ,
how hard it is, you need to give yourself and her space. No contact.
Also, realise that when she says she loves you she loves you as a person, for who you are. It doesn't mean she wants to be in a relationship.
Pursuing her, begging, seeking contact, all that will only push her further away.
