I’m embarrassed that I got my hopes up

I was excited to finally get to go out with someone I’ve liked for a long time. Finally day of and I don’t hear from them at all. I should’ve seen this coming but it still hurts. If they weren’t interested I don’t understand why they agreed to go at all. I would’ve understood and respected a decline but ghosting just sucks.
