I've decided to leave

I've decided to leave. This decision makes me grieve not the relationship but the bond I've built with his family. I don't have a close bond with my family so I got used to enjoying the holiday celebrations and other family get together.

I decided in the past to sacrifice myself and deal with the lack of love from both sides. I would smile and ignore my feelings and desires and then I would get to cherish the moments I get to have bonding with the family

We decided together to save up 3 months emergency fund and move to a different country when we get a remote job that allowed us to do so. I was able to secure that job sometime ago but everyday it gets harder and harder living like a zombie. No love, no appreciation, no admiration, no friendship in the relationship.

My plan is now to save up my emergency fund and leave in the next 5 months. This would put me in a new country with no friends and barely any family. I'll be alone. As an introvert, this never bothered me in the past, I've just gotten used to having a family.

What will I do for holidays? How will I be able to overcome this? Will I be alright without the support? How will I rebuild my support?

This is a tough but very brave decision 💛

I'm sorry you have to leave this behind.

But you do deserve to feel supported, love, desired and happy and I sincerely wish you all of this for the future 🥰
