Mad about finanical
Tw: Finanical stress.
I am beyond upset right now, my s/o got excited for concert tickets. An that's not why I am upset, it put a smile on my face seeing him so excited. It was the steps that lead afterwards that disappated my smiles and placed it with tears instead. I was doing my make up because we had plans to go have a family day and go to the crafting store. As I was doing my make up, he asked me for my wallet. Not given enough time
for me to process the moment. He then tells me the price of tickets last minute, then proceeds to tell me that he wanted to do the protection plan. Which again no time to process my emotions about going or even say anything because I was mid make up. Then i got a notification for low funds, and we had discussed what we wanted to do this weekend previously.
There was literally zero communication about the tickets. I didn't even get a chance to calculate anything, so now all the plans got tossed out the window because there is no money to do it with.. An usually I am pretty chill with everything but this put me in a bad spot because we also have a toddler and i like having enough money to help him with gas/food. Now I can't and we have been using the credit card too much. An do not get me wrong, he is amazing father figure/step dad to my daughter, but this was one of those moments that I had to place a boundary. I just feel terrible because I angry and I may have been overly harsh with my reaction..
So now instead of having fun and spending genuine time together... we have to spend it doing more work to make up money.. i have a homejob so im always at home and i just wanted to spend time with them both an treat them out, but also providing myself with self-care.. 😔
@PhoenixButterfly97 hello there butterfly. i hear you. it sounds like your s/o did not properly communicate the matter to you. placing a boundary definitely can help. how do you plan on working on this matter with your partner so it doesn't happen again in the future?
