Missing my ex girlfriend

We’ve been broken up for a little over 6 weeks. I texted her on Christmas and she responded but she never answered my check in text after that, but maybe I should’ve just left it at that. She broke up due to being kicked out of school and being ready to date due to that because she has to work and study harder. She had great things to say about me in the text and our time together. I know she’s not in the greatest of places right now but I offered to be there for her. I asked her to call me that night and she never did. She told me the next day she got kicked out and she may never respond if I texted but she did on Christmas. We still hold a snap streak but I’m not sure if it’s healthy. Idk if I should keep this connection with her for the future if things ever work out or just totally move on I guess?
