Mixed signals are missing with my head

hi everyone. I had a thing going on with this guy and it's been kinda confusing. I met him at an event. I didn't notice him but my friend did. she told me that he was staring at me intensely. when I turned to look we had this quick eye contact and then he looked away . I didn't know him it was my first time meeting him . but something felt real I'm that moment. then I left.

A month later i had a school event and I told my friends that if he came I will go and talk to him . he doesn't even go to the same school as me . On that day I was behind the stage waiting for my turn to present . then I saw a sight of him with his friends we had this eye contact and I immediately told my friends to look and that he's there . then he left . when i went back home I found that he requested to follow me even tho he didn't know my name and I didn't have a pfp . then It clicked that maybe he asked for my name or anything. then the next day I decided to text him first . I sent him a chill message saying " hi, I feel like I've seen you before " Then we started talking from there . He jokes he tears,he flirts but he never crosses the line . he asks me about my day and everything. but the problem is he takes too long to reply . that it hurts because I'm starting to fall for him . he takes too long to reply but he always replied. the last time we texted he left me on delivered for 2h then I thought he was busy , however I found out that he was online and he commented on his friends post while I was on delivered we haven't texted for 3 days and I didn't text first and he haven't. I miss him and I know he likes but his inconsistency hurts. what should I do and I want him . I never double texted ,begged or showed him that I cry bc he doesn't respond quickly.
