My avoidant boyfriend is long distance.. he's mad at me cuz I didn't spent time gaming with him while he's awake instead I game with our friend in my country (she's a girl so am I) and after that he just complained that he's sad. I tried offer him a solution where I only play with her when he's not active and he left me on read since then (from yesterday) I just feel a bit bad tho I know it wasn't fully my problem as I got my own social life too

He just simply leave some simple text saying that he's sad

Idk if he probably met other problems in reality but yea I feel bad not getting his proper replies

You offered a reasonable solution by suggesting to game with your friend when he’s not available, which shows you’re trying to compromise. His leaving you on read might be his way of processing his emotions, but it can feel frustrating when you want to communicate more openly.

Remember, it’s okay to have your own life and friendships. You can try reaching out again to check in, letting him know you care about his feelings but also need to maintain your social connections. Sometimes, avoidant individuals need a little space to sort out their feelings. Just be patient with both yourself and him. It’s important to strike a balance that respects both your needs.

Thank you, your words soothes me as I'm anxious

I'll practice more to give in some space for him so as to respect my own friend circles and life
