Needing advice to learn to appreciate my partner more!!

I have been with my boyfriend fir almost two years now. I've known him for over 10 years. He was dating my best friend. She threw him out and started dating someone else. He came to me to have someone to talk to. I have loved him for a long time. I found out that he had the same feelings for me.

He is 19 years younger than I am. I think he would be better off with someone who is more closer to his own age. I am the only one who is considered about the age difference. No one else in our families has a problem with it. How can I ever come this?
