Problem with my boyfriend
Im 27 and his 32
It's a very long story, but I'll summarize it as best I can.
We met in 2021—we lived in different cities—and lived together for five months before I moved back home with my mom. Since then, we’ve been in a long-distance relationship. We broke up for a year, and in 2025 we gave it another try, but it didn’t work out again.
In 2026, I found out he was seeing another girl, and I wanted to rush over to tell him we should give it another try—that I love him and want to be with him. He agreed right away and stopped seeing the other girl (who was also in a long-distance relationship).
So what’s the problem?
We’ve given it another try this year, and I love him so much—and he loves me too; he tells me that all the time.
But it all started when that girl messaged him again. He told her to stop, that he was with me. I told him that the next time she messaged him, he shouldn’t delete the conversation and should show it to me.
She messaged him again, and he told me about it, so I asked to see the conversation. He told me he’d deleted it and deleted her number and everything. I got angry and immediately became suspicious, but anyway, as the weeks went by, I tried to let it go, and he saw that he’d hurt me. He apologized.
I caught him in a lie: I asked him why he didn’t block her, and he said, “Okay.” Then I said, “Okay, show me that you’ve blocked her,” and a few days later I found out he hadn’t done it because he told me that since he’d deleted her number, he couldn’t block her. I got mad at him for lying to me, and he called me “RESENTFUL.”
After that, I got caught in a cycle of anger and rage toward him—sometimes I’d be nice to him, and then one day I told him to go to *** and told him to stay with his family, since they’re the ones who really love him. He replied, hurt: “Why won’t you leave me alone? If you can’t forget him, just die. Leave me alone. Die, die.”
I was in shock; I didn’t know what to do. Weeks went by, and he apologized. But tomorrow we’re going to see each other after all this, and I’m at a loss. I don’t know what to say to him so he’ll take me seriously.
I don’t know what to do. I don’t talk to anyone; my mom doesn’t understand any of this, and I haven’t dragged her into it, and I don’t have many friends.
It’s easy to say, “Just leave him!” or “Break up with him!” But I don’t know.
I don’t know what to say to him tomorrow so he’ll take me seriously and stop me from being a failure in this relationship.please help me

You are not a failure in this relationship at all.
Things got heated and things were said that shouldn't have been.
And feelings were hurt.
He shouldn't have lied either.
It's important to have an honest conversation, about how you both feel and decide if you both want to put genuine effort in to make this work, because it's not worth hurting each other 💛
