Uncertainty of a Situationship
Hey guys, I'm (21F) in a situationship with a guy (20M) right now, and I tend to overthink a lot. I have a quick question about a recent event.
So on Monday I had a 3 hour time gap between my two jobs. So at first I called, the day before, a friend to see if she could hang out during that period of time. She at first told me yes, but on Monday she cancelled because of a family thing she had. So, on kind of a whim, I thought, maybe I should try to ask the guy I've been seeing for a month now if he is available.
I didn't have much hope, I thought it was too little time and I knew he was in class, and he probably would prefer to see me another day. Well I asked him, I said if he was free at 13.20. He replied saying that he will be out of class at 14.30. So I said if he wanted to hang out for a little while, until 16.00, when I would have to go to my second job. He said he would confirm me later when he gets out of class. He exited his class 15 minutes earlier and told me he's on his way and he'd be there in 30 minutes. I met up with him and we spent some time together, it was around 45 minutes only because I had to go to my job place. Then we said goodbye, hugged and went on our different ways.
My question is, would a guy who doesn't have feelings for you or doesn't like you do this? Because in my perspective this is a positive sign that he likes me but I'm just not sure because I overthink too much. I asked my brother and he thought its a very clear sign if interest
Later in the night, I texted him saying something like "Btw I forgot to tell you before but thanks a lot for coming earlier, it was little time but I appreciate it, for staying with me". This guy has already shown a pattern to me before of using humour or teasing when in a vulnerable moment, it's his character, and I'm a very honest person in regards to my feelings. He then just replied with a "No problem" "HAHAHA". I can't lie but it disappointed me a little but it wasn't unexpected, besides, in person he's a lot warmer.

Hey there, thanks for sharing this, it sounds like it's really getting to you, not knowing what he's thinking or feeling. I'm sorry that you have that mismatch between your honesty and his use of humour, it sounds like it's tricky to get a read on how he really feels about you.
I think I'm inclined to agree with your brother, that's probably more effort than someone would go to who thought of themselves as just your friend. How would you feel about having a conversation with him and being more honest about what you need? Honest and open communication always helps I think - and better in person, less room to be misconstrued!
