What can opposites find to talk about?
What do you when you’re a talker and have so much to say but you and your husband are total opposites. We are together 24/7 and I want to just randomly talk but my husband just can’t find anything to say to me. His life is hunting, sports and politics and I know nothing about those things, therefore we struggle. He says he can’t find conversations. He will talk back to me, but it’s because I bring up subject after subject and he’ll answer me back about what I bring up. I don’t want that though. I want conversations. Help?
I guess I would think universal broad topics, music, food, travel, friends, family, memories..
Do you couple binge watch any shows? That could be a talking point?
Do you play any games together, board, sports, card?
You don't necessarily have to like the same things, you could ask questions about how he got into such and such?
Or you could say, Did you know one of the perks of my hobbies is.....?
If you're struggling you can googly fun couple questions and just be casual about it, ask, share, ask.. :)
I don’t have shortage of things to talk about and he will always respond. I just don’t want him to answer and talk at me. I want him to talk to me. Also, for reference he was raised by a mother who wasn’t interactive at all. She did her thing and he was pretty much a loner. I don’t think it’s malicious that he doesn’t talk. I just really do t think he knows how. That still doesn’t make it easy on me though.
