pictures of me
My 14-year-old son recently came across some pictures of me that his father took of me back when we were teens.we have been together for a long time and got married when I was pregnant with my son. The pictures were in an old shoebox filled with baseball cards and other adolescent memories. The problem is that the pictures are nude shots! You can’t really tell that the pictures are of me, as my appearance has changed pretty dramatically since then my hair color change, weight difference, ***, etc. My son came to me really worried with the concern that his father was potentially hoarding teenage porn. I didn’t directly tell him that the pictures were of me, but assured him that his father didn’t look at or keep teenage porn and that I would speak to him about it. But should I be more direct? Which is worse, thinking your father has kiddie porn or knowing that you just saw a teen version of your mother naked?

Woops! So sorry for the accidental blank post. I hit it by accident. What I meant to say that, while I obviously can't say for your situation, I remember from when I was about 3 years old (or less), I saw my mother naked. I used to take showers with her when I was young, or I would get too anxious when she wasn't around, so sometimes, she would let me be in the bathroom with her.
To me, seeing my mother naked as a child doesn't bother me. Kids are really quite smart. I felt like if I saw that, I'd think, "oh what the, ok." and then be done with it.
I do think it is actually more harmful to not tell him the truth. Your son is old enough to understand the morals surrounding keeping underaged nude. Letting him question his trust for his father could really damage the way he grows up, especially since you just confirmed you don't believe him!
This is just my two cents obviously, so take it with a grain of salt!
