Advice on long distance relationship
Been in long distance relationship for 10 months and he has constantly been accusing me of cheating on him it started from day 1 and now has become a constant drama if I go downstairs without having him on the phone or if I take too long or if we are on the phone and I go to the bathroom or go downstairs and leave him on the phone he thinks I am cheating on him. He yells at me, there’s no way of getting through to him, he is really abrasive and he yells and calls all the names in the book and even thinks I am cheating on him with my classmates which is untrue, he does this almost everyday. I also let him see my phone through screen sharing I thought that would clear up any misunderstandings and clear my name of anything he suspected me no actually that created more issues and he thought I was hiding stuff on a different phone and I only have one phone, I am only in a relationship with him even though I’ve told him this he doesn’t believe me and will accuse me in a month or next week he says he drops the issues but he circles back to it in a month or a week whenever he thinks I am doing something suspicious that’s in his head it’s not true. Any advice on this situation would be greatly appreciated it. Please no hateful or judgmental words about my situation. Thank you.
@enthusiasticPerson3980 Hi 👋🏻… Just a bit of advice from
someone who has been in your shoes and is currently in LDR. Usually, the one making the accusations is cheating themselves and you’re the easy target. Or, they are just very insecure with themselves and have either been hurt before by a cheating significant other. And again, you get the blame.
if after all this time, you haven’t proven yourself to him… maybe it’s time to move on. You’re better than this and don’t need to prove your worth to anyone! I don’t know how old you are, but take it from an young (old) 60 year old. Been there, done that sweetheart! Do you! Life is too short to have to prove yourself to any man! I’m here if you need to chat. Just sayin… Hugs 🤗
You are right! I have done everything I can to prove that I am not cheating that’s why I did all those things like let him see my phone and the whole nine. When I would say oh I think your cheating he would say no. I think he is insecure he has had a lot of trauma and yes he has had relationship before I that they cheated on him. He always says he loves me but would call me the w curse word even-though I don’t ever do anything remotely like that. I can’t believe I had to prove that I was being a good person and not doing anything bad. It’s so debilitating when he would go constantly on about it every day. Even if I went downstairs for too long and left him on the phone he would be so suspicious it’s insane I get that we’re in a long distance relationship but every day about cheating.
Long distance relationships can be a positive thing if done right. But practice shows that the right choice comes after a negative experience. I'm sorry your choice didn't live up to expectations. But I believe that you can always end a relationship where you are not respected or trusted. I can suggest trying to find someone using the onenightfriend app. This is a normal solution. You can distract yourself from a traumatic situation with simple chat conversations without serious promises until you meet a good option.
