Anyone Cheat and It's Killing You?
I've been with my boyfriend for 2 months. At times it's great but usually he is emotionally unavailable and I feel like he doesn't make me a priority. I am not involved in his life at all, but he is in mine. It feels very one sided sometimes. I admit I tent to move faster than most. I felt particularly left out yesterday and I had sex with someone else. It immediately felt terrible because it wasn't him and I knew I was hurting him by doing it even if he never finds out. I want to let it go and move on and do the right things for our relationship. Anyone else deal with something like this?

the reason I am on this website, is because I was cheated on and because of this received herpes. It has absolutely been the worst, most painful thing to ever happen to me. Please tell him the truth and get tested
If it’s not then you must have a serious psychological problem because cheating is one of the worst things you could ever do to someone who loves and cares for you, after physical abuse, of course. The effects of betrayal on the victim can form into a trauma that they will take with them for the rest of their lives, while usually all the perpetrator carries is guilt (sometimes not even that). Telling him about it is what I think to be the most respectful way, because he has the right to choose whether or not to stay, and keeping it from him would be playing with his feelings to save face. He will find out eventually, and the longer you wait to tell him, the less likely he‘ll take you back. it’s your choice. It’s your relationship after all and sometimes people would prefer to be ignorant than hurt anyway. The important thing here is that if you think there’s a chance you’ll cheat again, leave. Nobody should have to put up with that in the first place, let alone more than once. Being cheated on is overwhelming painful. I don’t wish it on my worst enemy. And if you were able to stray after something as trivial as a lack of communication or attention (something that could be resolved with a few discussions and compromises over time), then what more over the bigger things like finances, families, or distance? Sure, your emotions are valid, and the regret you feel can eat you up inside. But I promise you, it is nowhere near the pain of the other person. Not even in the same category.
I agree with notthere 100 percent , I was cheated on and it’s the worst thing that ever happened to me, pls be honest with ur partner , and leave if you cannot be loyal. Do not put them through that.
