Boyfriend being cold and distant

I'm new here and hopefully posting this to a correct place.. I'm having hard time with my boyfriend. We live together and cause of corona we are both working/studying remotely. I work during the days and he usually studies during the evening time, sometimes whole day as well. Weekends I have off and he has to work. He feels like we are 24/7 together while I feel that us doing our things in different rooms is not us being together and I feel that we don't connect emotionally the same way than before. So I've tried to make time for our relationship, asking him to make time couple times a week for us to hang out, watch netflix, cuddle and just be together. He doesn't understand my need for these things and he feels it's too much since we are already together every day... He never suggests anything for us to do and he just tells me that he does not have the feeling or need to do that, that all he wants is to be alone and not with me all the time. Which I do understand, since he's working the weekends and has his studying at the week days so ofc he needs his alone time. But at the same time I feel like that some kind of balance should be found.. I have started to put aside my own needs for closeness since we've fought about this a lot and now I feel like shit. I'm feeling like I am not being loved and I feel very lonely. And I'm getting exhausted to be the only one suggesting things for us to do. Anybody else in the same situation? Or am I just being too needy? Any advices or just similar experiences from same view or from my boyfriend's view.. Thanks.

Relationships during COVID have been so tough to deal with. Maybe just communicating the new expectations with each other could be a great start with all of this.
